Just dropping by the blog to share my latest editorial featured in Salyse Magazine’s Shades of Elegance series, Vol 7 No. 24. For “Attitude Problem$”, I wanted the styling to focus on rich, luxurious textures and bold silhouettes. Model Tabitha Wolf of the amazing 208 Management contributed dynamic posing and served us endless face.

This was my first time teaming with Marissa Morris of Missallaneous Media. Marissa provided top tier photography and creative direction to this whole concept, capturing every important in every shot. Makeup Artist Virginia Wilkens gave us impeccable beats to compliment each look. Special thanks to shoe designer Shatiarra Monroe for believing in my vision and allowing me to incorporate your gorgeous gold mules!

The editorial is full of attitude (hence the name), statement pieces, and an elite atmosphere. Check out my faves from the shoot below and catch the full spread in print or digital here!

Just dropping by the blog to share my faves from a sultry spread featured in Elegant Magazine this month, styled by me, of course. I was asked to join this team and bring some simple but super sexy and edgy styling for this series celebrating the female form. Sleek silhouettes and glossy textures were my focus. Lashira served body fiercely and my creative partner in crime Damon Rice came through with the shots. Makeup Artist Kaila Emani gave Lashira a bold beat and magic was made. You can see more looks from this spread in Elegant’s Sensual # 3 September Issue. Get your copy here!

BALTIMORE'S OWN BISHME CROMARTIE'S PRE FALL 2016 COLLECTION FEATURES BREATHTAKING STRUCTURED LOOKS

By Sharra Greene

Designer Bishme Cromartie's looks always exude poise, innovation, and luxury. I'm extremely proud to say that he's from my city. The young  Baltimore native is self taught and has been creating collections since age 16. His chic yet edgy styles have been on the likes of legendary soul singer Jill Scott and  model / actress Eva Marcille, just to name a few.  For the Pre Fall '16 season, his models were nothing short of walking art as they gave statesuesque poses on juxtaposed platforms for his breathtaking lookbook.

The collection's hero colors included a metallic deep wine shade, burgundy, and pale rose with nude shoes. Structure played a major part in the forms of exaggerated ruffles and elegant draping. Metallic fabrics were also a common theme. Though the entire collection was marvelous and I have way too many favorite looks to name, one that really stood out at first glance was the metallic wine colored halter top with a fanned out ruffle and a burgundy pencil skirt (below). Much like the rest of the line, the look was flawessly executed.

It's quite obvious that we'll be seeing a lot more creative genius from Bishme in fashion's coming years. Much respect for him as an artist! See his entire Pre Fall reveal below.
